About Me

Marla Johanesen: I am a mom, wife, student and hobby farmer. We live on an acre in the country with 2 kids, 1 dog, 2 cats, and 11 chickens. I am officially a crazy chicken lady and think these odd little critters are the best! Pets that give you eggs to eat, keep moles away and turn the compost – does it get better than that! I re-do furniture and go to school full time – hopefully I will start the RN program in 2013! We believe in being prepared, living more simply and raising our kids right. As I have time I am starting a few blogs on my journeys through PCOS and home projects on a budget!
